Landscapes
Statement of intent
The theme that I have decided to chose for my GCSE level photography is landscapes. Throughout the course I will be specifically focusing on urban landscapes, because I believe that this topic allows me to explore my absolutely amazing talents and perfected skills that I have quickly gained throughout my photography course. Additionally I chose this topic because I find in choosing it theirs a wide variety of things to take pictures off and also I think that landscapes are very interesting which make them also draw a lot off attention to the person viewing it, which is my aim.
In order to produce a perfected, extraordinary creative final piece that I am definitely going to carry out for my chosen theme. I will do some detailed research on world class photographers and interpret a variety of ideas and photography knowledge from their work, the artists that I am going to be looking at include; Alex Baker and Victor Enrich. Plus I shall visit many different locations from museums to countrysides, cities from all around the world and my local city centre. Specifically capturing explicit photographs of various different types of buildings within popular cities and taking strenuous, long winded quests to the countrysides to capture unique photographs of rocky landscapes and beaches that you have never seen before! The different, fantastical ways as to which I shall produce these beautiful ideas into my work are by creating a portfolio of my wild journey to success.
My intentions are to capture various photoshoots to explore my chosen theme of landscapes. This will mean that I will mainly be producing these photographs outside of the school environment to progress my ideas, because there isn't much variety of landscape inside school. I hope to include differentiating photographic genres into my work e.g. nature, cityscapes and rural architecture.

I have chosen this photograph as my best one from the portfolio because I like the variations of smooth colours in the foreground, background and middle ground. Additionally I also think that the composition of the photograph is fantastic, and overall the warm colours give the photograph a perfected finishing touch.

The reason as to why I have chosen this as my worst photograph from my portfolio is because I find it very boring.Plus I think that all of my other wonderful photographs outshines this one.
